Die DOC-Region Vinho Verde im Nordwesten Portugals hat eine Rebfläche von 60.000 Hektar. Das Klima ist kontinental mit atlantischen Einflüssen was leichten und frischen Weine hervorbringt. Die Böden sind vielfältig und reichen von Granit im Norden bis zu lehm- und schieferhaltigen Böden im Süden.

Aus dem Verschnitt unterschiedlicher Rebsorten entstehen Spitzen-Weine. Das Ziel bei einer Cuvée ist es, eine optimale Balance der individuellen Eigenschaften der verwendeten Rebsorten zu finden: Aromen, Körper und Mundgefühl, Frucht und Säure, Alkohol, Gerb- und Bitterstoffe sowie Ausgewogenheit des Abgangs. So entstehen nicht nur komplexe, sondern auch Weine mit einer über die Jahre gleichbleibend hohen Qualität.
Charakteristik dieses Weines: Zitrusgelb, in der Nase erfrischend jung und fruchtig. Am Gaumen ein lebendiges Zusammenspiel von Frucht und Zitrus Aromen.

Speisenempfehlung:
Passt gut zu traditionellem, portugiesischem Essen wie Lammlende aber auch Reis- und Kartoffelgerichten.
